Something happened. Start here.

You don't need a policy, an account or a payment to use this. Tell us what happened and a person will read it and reply. Choose how you'd like us to help.

Before you do anything else.

These four come before filling in any form, ours included. They are in the order they matter.

  1. 1

Call your bank's fraud line if money is moving

Do this before anything else, including us. Freezing a card or recalling a transfer is time-sensitive in a way that nothing else on this page is.

  2. 2

Secure your email before any other account

Almost everything else resets through it. Change that password and turn on two-factor there first, or you'll be locked out again an hour later.

  3. 3

    Don't pay, and don't delete

Paying an extortionist rarely ends it. And the messages you want to erase are the evidence your bank, the platform and the police will each ask to see.

  4. 4

Write down what happened while it's fresh

Times, amounts, account names, what you clicked. You will be asked for the same details by four different organisations, so having them written once saves hours.

To be clear about what this is: MyCyberInsure is not an insurer yet, so this is not a claim and we cannot reimburse what you lost. What we can do is tell you exactly what to do next, and take on the parts you shouldn't have to handle alone.
